There exists a goddess capable of making flowers bloom, raising crops, and making the seasons eternal. With long golden hair, Demeter colors the landscapes, intensifies the breezes, and accentuates scents and flavors.
However, the guardian of the lands holds a secret; her sweetness turns bitter if her happiness fades. It is said that when Hades, the god of the underworld, abducted her beloved daughter Persephone, Demeter grew sad, and the sprouts turned withered, the landscapes turned black, and the scents lost their flavor.
